About Hiring Ticker
Hiring Ticker turns job postings into clear, comparable labour-market statistics: which kinds of roles are being hired, in which countries and sectors, and by which employers.
It reads from two layers of data:
- Listed companies — the postings that large public companies publish on their own career sites, across the main Nordic stock indexes. Browse them by company, country, role type or sector.
- Whole national labour markets — every public job ad in Sweden, Norway, Finland and Denmark, from each country's public employment service. Each employer is labelled stock-listed, public-sector, staffing agency or private — which is how the agency and contractor layer that listed firms (oil majors, holding companies) recruit through becomes visible.
Where the data comes from
The listed-company figures are aggregated from companies' public career portals via their applicant-tracking systems. The national figures come from public employment-service APIs (Arbetsförmedlingen, NAV/Arbeidsplassen, Työmarkkinatori and the EU's EURES). We publish aggregate counts and link every ad back to its original posting. See our methodology for details, coverage and limitations.
Hiring Ticker is an independent project and is not affiliated with, or endorsed by, any listed company or stock exchange.
